First, let me say THANK YOU for your support. I plan to continue writing on Substack as the season picks up again. Get a copy of the book and read it at tryouts. Or on the way to the spring hockey tournament. Or on a plane to a weeklong camp in Minnesota. Or maybe bring it up at the next book club. I hope it provides comfort and a few hearty laughs and connects you to the hockey collective.
Recently, I was a guest host on the Youth Hockey Podcast (Spotify) and Apple Podcast, talking to co-hosts Randy Gifford and Lance Alexander. We covered a few topics in the book, Lance actually read it - he loved it! These guys are currently hockey dads raising kids in Southern California. We decided that hockey parents have archetypes that transcend territories. It’s worth the listen. They are a down-to-earth-duo; I wish I had discovered them sooner.
